A passion for motorsports may present itself in a number of ways. For some of us, it’s driving but there are many ways to get involved. Running an event requires the talents of a wide variety of dedicated individuals. The Top Dog Trophy Challenge at Summit Point is a track cross event, which means we need a bunch of volunteers to support the driving teams and make the event go smooth and safe.
The 2021 Top Dog Trophy challenge is a great opportunity to get a feel for motorsports. Who knows, maybe next year you’ll be driving on one of the teams!
Be a participant . . . not just a fan!
Volunteer Positions Available . . .
Jon Felton’s Get Fast LLC team will be managing the grid, timing, and technical vehicle inspection, but we still have other important roles to fill.
Registration is our intake team. You will meet and greet arriving participants, check them in, issue their wristbands, and provide their information packet. If you are a ‘people person,’ this role is tailor-made for you. We need a team of 4-5 people with one team lead. Oh, and by the way, you will be sporting a very cool t-shirt and hat!
This volunteer takes a position along the course and uses flags and hand signals to communicate track conditions to each driver. This position serves as a first responder to any incident on the course, maintains the link between the steward and the drivers, and keeps the fun moving at all times. These people go home dirty. But, you see all of the action. And did we mention you will be wearing a very cool t-shirt and hat?
We need photographs and video clips for the event film production. If you have these skills, amateur or professional, you can play a key role in helping us publicize the dangers of PTSD and how veterans can get help.
Are you a people person? A storyteller? We want to capture the stories behind the drivers and volunteers who come to the event. All you need is your smartphone and a smile. You do the interview, give us the video clip, and we’ll do the rest. Oh, and you will be listed on the event video credit roll. How cool will that be?
